Zegama Aizkorri

The Zegama-Aizkorri (May or early June) is an international skyrunning competition that was first held in Spain in 2002.
The marathon (42.195m, distance is controlled by the Basque Mountain Federation) starts in Zegama (about 100km east from Bilbao) and runs over 2 sides of the Sierra Aizkorri with the finish point in Zegama. The total ascent of 5.472m (highest point in the course: 1551m). The race counts towards the Golden Trail World Series.
In addition to the marathon, since 2015, a vertical kilometer has also been valid for the Skyrunner World Series
